Honestly, this is one area that I have not touched in my efforts to save money and be like the Proverbs 31 woman! My habit- all I’ve ever known- is to go to the tire store and have them price tires for me, and install them while I wait. Basically, I feel like you have little choice in the tire situation, because what do I know about tires? I just take what they tell me- because I trust them on a certain level- and go with it, because I do not have the time or the knowledge to find tires myself.
Well, I truly believe Walmart could be on to something big here.

Now, I can shop for tires online by simply knowing my car make and model, and what kind of tires I currently have. That is easy enough. Walmart has a tire finder that searches across dozens of brands and pulls up the best fit for my vehicle. You can even pull up available rebates from tire brands! Probably, these rebates have gone to the tire dealer in the past because of my lack of knowledge and available transparency. Walmart.com offers a wide variety of good brands including Goodyear, BFGoodrich, Michelin, Radar, Cooper and others.
Now, only time and experience will tell if this is a good deal or not, or whether it is worth it. The tires can be shipped for free to your store (or your home, if you are a real DIY’er) and you can have the Walmart tire department install them. I just appreciate the ability to search for myself and find the best deal. Thankfully, it is not time for me to purchase new tires on my almost new vehicle just yet. To have 4 tires for my 2018 Expedition sent to my local Walmart or to my home, it is $511 including tax and free shipping. Installation at Walmart adds another $15 per basic tire. This is not a bad price for 4 SUV tires; however, I have not had new tires put on this vehicle so I am not completely sure. Here are all of the links so you can check it out for yourself:
