It’s that time again, time to shop for school supplies and other back to school items. Wasn’t it just yesterday that the kids finished school? Crazy to think another busy year is about to start (confession: I love the summer time with the kids at home or away at camps and less on the schedule!) But alas, it is that time for a new school year to start. To me, shopping in advance and online is much easier and less stressful than fighting the crowds at the stores. If you find a great deal and you’re able to purchase more than what your child’s supply list calls for, consider donating the extra to a group like Backpack Buddies in our hometown that gives bookbags and supplies to kids in need or to your teacher, or save it for another charity like Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes. Now is usually a great time to stock up on school supplies for the year. Think ahead to what needs you might come across this year. Possibly even a Christmas stocking stuffer or teacher appreciation gift in the future. You will be thankful when that time comes!
